ONE Arts is proud to serve over 100 families daily in the Burlington area. Our art and learning centers provide creative resource spaces for the community, and encourage an atmosphere of exploration and inquiry. Our mission is to facilitate unique and significant art experiences and to build a larger creative community that includes all ages.

ONE Arts has multiple locations in the Burlington area. We also collaborate with other organizations in and around Burlington, including ECHO Leahy Center for Lake Champlain, Howard Center, and CVOEO.  Our art centers provide daily after school programs and creative camps for elementary and middle school aged children, while our early learning centers serve children ages 0-5.

With A Grant from VT Community Foundation, ONE Arts Brings More Inclusive, Creative Fun to Burlington Families

BURLINGTON, VT — October 2026 — Get ready to make a mess, try something new, and make art together! ONE Arts is honored to announce receipt of a $12,000 grant from the VT Community Foundation, Arts and Social Cohesion grant program. Made possible by this award, ONE Arts is expanding its year of creative programming for children and families in 2026–2027.

The year’s offerings include monthly all-ages, all-abilities creative workshops, story times with local artists and storytellers, fiber arts workshops, and visits from two guest artists. From big, bold painting to hands-on weaving, these programs invite children and adults to explore, experiment, and connect through art.

At ONE Arts, inclusion means making room for everyone to participate in their own way. Building on years of learning from families, artists, and special educators, the team is finding new ways to adapt activities, offer accommodations, and help participants feel welcome. Staff training and collaboration with specialists are also helping ONE Arts better support a wide range of sensory, movement, and other needs.

One cornerstone of this work is ONE Arts’ annual community weaving residency with Saori weaver Chiaki O’Brien. Using adapted looms and a playful approach where there are no mistakes, participants can explore weaving in ways that work for them.

First up: Big Painting Workshop!

Come ready to be messy! Families of all ages and abilities are invited to make art with their whole bodies, rolling tires through pools of paint, creating giant marks, and exploring color, texture, and movement. No experience is needed—just come ready to experiment and make something wonderfully BIG!
